Nikon Creative Lighting System

I am not a HUGE fan of Nikon’s Creative Lighting System. It’s great for doing quick off-camera lighting wirelessly when I’m indoors at a market or art show type but for anything more advanced (i.e. the SB-800 is not in my hand) I go pocket wizard. I just like the added security of knowing that despite people, sunlight, or a 3 ft. thick concrete wall, the flash will go off as I have programmed it to.

But what if the Speedlight is in the hand of someone else?

While I was waiting at the Laurel Chik-fil-A for the Fire Department to fill up a dunk tank (no lie) one of the employees came out on her break for a turn in the moon bounce. I gave her the flash, set it up remotely from the back of my D300 and started firing.
