Basque Wedding in South San Francisco – Bahry & Michael

A few weeks ago I had the please of photographing the wedding of Bahry and Michael. Although I didn’t have the opportunity of shooting the preparation, I was present for the ceremony and reception, both held at the Basque Cultural Center in South San Francisco.

I love how weddings are always an opportunity to learn new things! I had never heard of the Basques and was thrilled to learn more about their culture. The service, while non-denominational, included readings from both the Koran and the Bible.

Here are some of my favorite photos from the day. I particularly loved all of the little blue and yellow details that connected the wedding story as it wove through the different venues.
